Free parking is a great convenience when visiting.
The check-out process was quite unclear, leading to frustration. Conflicting instructions regarding key return added to the confusion. The bed was uncomfortable.

Its location is great and stunning - not too far from Canmore city center.

I expected at least a room upgrade for all my troubles, but no, just the same old bed that left me with backpain. Almost thought about giving a good review, but clearly, I couldn't.

The seating area next to the lobby had an amazing mountain view, perfect for getting some work done. The staff were warm and friendly. Super clean and nice accommodations for a great price 😊

The beds were comfortable, the rooms were neat and huge. This hotel was located in a central area adjacent to Canmore, main Avenue.
Wi-Fi signal was very weak, very old room, a little disappointed.

Loved Canmore, the hotel was good priced in such a high tourist area. The room was neat, and stylish, with central heating, multi-channel television and a fridge I needed. The bathroom was reasonably clean, it was nice to have a bathtub.
The bed was a bit hard, that's my bad luck.

Parking on a first come, first serve basis creates issues. No tea or coffee facilities in rooms. Noisy air conditioning. Inconsistent cleanliness and housekeeping.

It was relatively close to the family event I was there to attend
The fact that you had to preauthorize 100.00. Deposit for a real key on your credit card. The fact that only certain rooms had coffee pots, fridges and microwaves. All the wheelchair accessibility was used up by the maintenance company and/or the security vehicles. The rooms were already precharged to my credit card long before our large group arrived. The rooms were shabby, dirty, and the maintenance of said rooms was poor. The maintenance man picking up laundry felt arrogant enough about his position that he threatened to have us kicked out of private property because the sidewalk wheelchair ramp was his "loading zone"even though it had a big x through it for no parking and no loading zone designation at all. The shower head was falling off. The plugins couldn't hold a plug if your life depended on it. The cleaning staff didn't clean behind furniture at all or around the edges of the room. The cleaning staff sprays smelly deodorizer/cleaner on the walls but don't wipe so there are run marks on all the walls. Burn marks on the furniture in the nonsmoking rooms. Ants crawling around. Holes in the walls. No place to eat in the inn - you had to go somewhere else. The front desk staff were of no help or service at all but some of them were really interested in their many smoke breaks. Some cleaning staff were a lot busier texting than cleaning the rooms they were standing in. The fact that there were extra charges associated with changing sheets or other "extra" housekeeping duties while staying at this inn. A total joke.

great stay but could use cleaner rooms
The staff were genuinely friendly and offered helpful recommendations for local attractions. I appreciated the spaciousness of the room, comfortable for my family. The pleasant smell throughout the building made for a cozy atmosphere. The fine mountain view from our room was a highlight.

The price was right for a one-night stay, the bed was comfortable enough, and everything was neat and clean. If you're not used to luxury hotels, this would probably be a good landing spot. The gentleman who checked me in was very courteous, and when the front desk girl heard me clunking down the stairs in the morning with my suitcase she came around to ask if I wanted help - big plus! =)
In my room (222) there was a light you had to jiggle to get it to turn on, and some other things in a bit of disrepair, but nothing that really affected my stay. The tea and coffee were downstairs, and no lids were provided for the cups, so when I tried to take my tea upstairs to my room (there's no elevator) I burnt myself mildly - so bring a thermos with you!
